Meet Jimmie & Tenoria

Jimmie and Tenoria have been together for 17 years and are the proud parents of four beautiful children. Together, they are the heart and soul of everything Pressed & Sweet represents.

Jimmie holds a Master's degree in Psychology and spent his career dedicated to helping others heal. Tenoria is a Social Worker — a profession built entirely on showing up for people in their most vulnerable moments. Service, compassion, and community have always been at the core of who they are.

But in 2020, everything changed.

The Stroke That Changed Everything

In the wake of COVID-19, Jimmie suffered an unexplainable stroke. The kind that comes without warning and leaves a family standing in a hospital hallway wondering what comes next. Jimmie survived — but the stroke left him with aphasia, a condition that affects the ability to speak, read, and communicate.

For a man who built his life around words — around listening, counseling, and connecting — aphasia was a profound challenge. Returning to the field of psychology was no longer possible. The family needed a new path forward.

So Jimmie and Tenoria did what strong people do: they turned their pain into purpose.

Where Passion Meets Purpose

Jimmie has been vegan for 25 years — a walking testament to the power of plant-based living. And though he lives a vegan lifestyle, his baking skills are nothing short of extraordinary. Those skills? He got them from his mother — the legendary Granny Kay, whose award-winning peach cobbler recipe lives on in every Granny Kay's Cobbler Roll we bake today.

Tenoria has always had a deep love for juicing — using cold-pressed fruits and vegetables as medicine, as energy, as life. As a Certified Herbalist and long time Social Worker, she understands firsthand how nutrition transforms the body and the mind.

Together, they combined their gifts: Jimmie's masterful baking and Tenoria's passion for cold-pressed juice — and Pressed & Sweet was born.

Pressed & Sweet is proudly based in Denton, Texas — a vibrant, community-driven city that deserves access to food and drink that actually nourishes. As personal trainers, juice bar owners, and bakers, Jimmie and Tenoria bring a rare combination of wellness expertise and culinary excellence to everything they create.

Every juice is cold-pressed with intention. Every cinnamon roll is baked with love. And every product we offer is a reflection of a family that refused to give up.
